Today's task was shopping, so we slept in until nearly 11am! We caught the metro to the Louvre and spent some time in the grounds. Chose not to go through but got some interestings pics in the grounds.
We had heard that the Latin quarter was good for shopping, so walked through St Germaine and found our way to Rue Mouffartard. The weather had got cold and rainy so jacket, scarf came out. We were relieved when we finally found it, plus the rain had stopped.
Pottered up and down this quaint, very old street for about an hour and picked up some treasures. Apparently this street is the oldest in Paris. Certainly was a cute, eclectic mix of buildings and shop fronts.
We sat and had a drink and a Crepe Suzette (thats French isn't it?) and people watched for a good hour. One of our favorite pastimes in this wonderful city ...
We went to a little restaurant that was recommended in our Paris guide
