It's Wednesday and such a shame that today we leave Prague. Seriously could stay here another week. I guess our exploring was slowed down with the need for some rest buts we'll definitely be back. I've been really impressed with the staff in the hotel. The spoken English is excellent and customer service cannot be faulted. Even down to a lovely young guy named Tomas who explained the custom of getting a small glass of water with an espresso coffee. Excellent hotel, quite mind blowing.
So we had a two hour walking tour of Pragues hidden secrets this morning. We walked over the Charles Bridge where our guide (an amazing Czech woman Helena with a a dry quick wit),explained the significance of different sculptures and surroundings. Then we walked into a little town area, from memory it was called Old Town. Very like being on the set of an old world children's story or a fairytale. Magical shop fronts and painted buildings with different facades. So many wonderful red geraniums spilling out of window boxes ... I feel like the artistic director when I point to a particular planting and "instruct" Ross to take a photo. His standard reply is now "yes dear"!!
On to the bus for the four hour trip to Nuremburg. Arrived around 5.30pm, this all in all a very comfortable trip. The autobahns are quite incredible, with cars zooming past at anywhere from 130 to 200 kms per hour. Bus, thankfully, is only allowed to travel at 100 kms.
