Rosemary's Ramblings
this should say the 23rd but the thing wont let me change the date now!
Worked out what the strange sound was this morning - room service to see what i wante for breakfast!!!! (obviousely knocking is bad for there knuckles!) I had some yummy stuffed paratha (stuffed with potatoes and corriander and ther yummy herbs) with a nice cup of tea!
some facts for the curious of you out there and Paul please take note...Mubai is the fourth largest city in the world (apparently) with a population af arround 16.4 million people - it is at the forfront of software design and much of micrsoft has been outsorced here so as for the internet comment i am not in the middle of no where! nor do i plan on being...
anyway back to today... set off by train to coloba to move into the volga 2 hotel. if youremember they said they had a rooom for me yesterday - no luck - it turns h\\out my watch is about an hour and a half out so it was 12.20 when i got to the hotel not 11 as i had thought! (yes i know I\'m useless) All was not lost - infact it workedto my advantage as they showed me to annother hotel just the volga round the corner where i met a guy called Brent. He tried to get it so we could s[plit the cost of a room but i\'d already agreed to the price and apparently he done this before (causing them to loose out on some money!) so they weren\'t happy with him so he left. but we met up for some lunch.
we chatted for a while and i said what my vague plans were and he asked if he could tag along for a while. this of course was great for me so i agreed whole hartedly!!! we set off to get tickets to travel th next day but to no avail it was closed (being sunday and all i guess its allowed) the sweat was streaming from me by the time we had finished walking there and back.
stopped at a cool art gallery where the paintings had hints of animals in them but not deffinate lines - really beautiful and tranquil picture (fortunatly not for sale otherwise i may have been tempted!)
had a shower and a read then went to Chowpatty beach to watch the sunset. of whcih pitures will be available soon. really beautiful, on the way back to the hotel walked an orange tree that was full of blossom and smelling absolutaly beautiful!
