Didn't set alarm but was still up by 7, had early breakfast, then our morning stroll to Es Pins which definately serves the best coffee in Menorca, as we are experts on coffee.
No need to rush today as we have no plans but to lay on the beach, we had a stroll yesterday evening to check out the best area and found the ideal spot for us. A little alcove at the far end of the beach, oops it just so happens to be on the naturist part. Hey ho we will suffer for nature.
Prepared our picnic and ventured onto the beach, passing many works of art on the way. The statue of David in Florence springs to mind. Got settled in our sun trap of an alcove and laid back and chilled, enjoying the views.
Went in the sea a few times to cool down, this was all ok until Jackie saw fish swimming near her feet, swimming was over then.
Stayed on the beach for a little while and then packed up and took a leisurely stroll back to the hotel.
Having shaken off the sand from the towels, that were supposed to be only used around the pool, we decided to chill out and I wanted to cool off so jumped into the pool to find it was a lot deeper than I thought and wasn't sure I would have enough oxygen in my lungs to bring me back up to the surface and typing this you can gather that I did have.
Went back to the room for get ready for tea and after choosing a traditional salad which was really nice, I had a local delicacy, a BIG red beetle, luckily it was dead and so I didn't have to fight it for the salad leaves. When I showed Jackie it she said "well at least it's still whole and you didn't find half of one" which was true. Our apetite was a little disrupted and so tea ended early. Went and sat in the outside bar and watched the swallows feeding their young in the nest.
Entertainment wasn't to start until late so we thought we'd give it a miss and retire to our room.
