Well here I am back in India. Very glad to be back. Arrived at Trivandrum International Airport and felt like I'd come home! Spent three days back in good old Varkala (Kerala), stayed at the same guest house where I stopped with Sadie and Russell around the end of January. It's only a small bungalow, with five rooms, but the Landlady is fantastic and the food is magnificent (excellent fish thali). So, bought a couple of new shirts and a top for the colder weather up in the hills (Risikesh), when I go there with Mum and Jeanie. Need to get some new T-shirts because the ones I've been wearing that I bought in the Andamans have great big holes along the seams. Since we're stopping in rather nice hotels, think I better treat myself to some new ones. The taylors in Varkala are fantastic and really, really cheap - fatal if you're a shopaholic like me!!!! Am in Dehli now, it seems ok, pretty much like any big city - big, dirty and polluted. The people are pretty friendly and helpful, especially handy when you've got no idea where you're supposed to be going. Hopefully will meet up with my Polish friend Karolina (nickname Karusia) today, have her mobile number so will go and give her a call. Take care.
