Hi all, Just a quick postcard to let you know how my 8 days work at the Royal Perth show went! I was working on the Top Spin for the first 4 days which was a real nice little number, All i had to do was let people on and off the ride and take tokens. That was it! 14 hours a day with 2 half hours breaks, you would think that it would be really boring but i can honestly say it wasnt! Whilst the ride was going on i would just people watch, and that can be very entertaining especially at a fairground!!! Then on the 5th day i got a real bad break, I was put on to the 'Hammer' which was s***e to say the least! I had to help get people to play this rubbish test your strenghth game (which was sort of fixed) using a microphone and my vibrant and outgoing personality! I wasnt very good at it as you might have guessed and after 2 long days of not trying very hard and going to the toilet as often as possible i was moved back to the 'wonderful' Top Spin where i slipped back into my usuall 'talk to people if i could be arsed' attitude. It was great!!! Paul on the other hand was working on the slightly busier 'Crazy Dance' where he was in his absolute eliment! He had little girls after him all day every day and always had a story to tell at the end of the night about how he let some girls on the ride for free or getting a kiss from some others! He loved it!!! Also every night between 8pm and 9pm the fair would go quiet as the show was on. This was the time we would 'play'! Me, Paul and a girl called Zoe (she worked on the ride in between mine and Pauls) would choose a ride we wanted to go on and blag our way on for free (it wasnt that hard!) some were good but most of them were crap but it was a good laugh and gave us something to look forward to at the end of our long days! All in all the experience was a good one and the work much better that fruit picking! Anyway got to go im off to Thailand!!! Bye for now
