Day Eight Padua, Italy- After a short train we checked our bags at the station in Padua and headed to the Scrovengi Church where the painter Giotto Di Bondone painted his masterwork. To get into the place, you need an appointment and once at your appointment, you have to sit in a temperature/humidity chamber to cool off and de-humidify prior to going into the church.Once inside there are no photos permitted and you are allowed 15 minutes inside the church. The church and paintings were beautiful and were depictions of Jesus and his life, the paintings were completed in 1305. We then toured the grounds; an ancient roman coliseum that is crumbling surrounds the chapel and then we toured the museum and the archeological findings that were found near the coliseum. We toured another church, had gelato at a "Steve's" recommended place, walked through the medical school and then headed to the train station. Side note, Tim was fantastic with checking on my hunger level during lunch, heading to a restaurant known as the "Brick" once I hinted at hunger. (Lesson learned for now)
