G'day!!! We arrived in Sydney, only to be greeted by the passport control man at Sydney airport telling us "this is the first rain we've had in weeks!!" great. We got to our first hostel a little later and were apalled by the naked bodies that seemed to be sprawled over every available surface - obviously the aftermath of a heavy night! Robyn wasn't too impressed by the fact that our beds weren't made so napped on the sofa. Even worse, we were put in separate dorms..so Robyn had no moral support when two of her fellow roomies got down to it on the floor right before her eyes, she did the polite thing and pretended to be asleep but is still scarred from the events of that night!! We took a trip out to see the Opera House & Harbour Bridge, unfortunately our photo's don't look too spectac as the rain pounded down in the background! However, we weren't downhearted and still managed to make an appearance for happy hour at the bar that night. The next night we went to the pub downstairs for a couple of the girls in the hostels birthday party, kicked the night off with some sambucca and while Robyn opted for an early night, Steph partied on at the "three wise monkeys" (a pub nearby) where good band had her drinking til early hours of the morn!! After a couple of days in Sydney we moved on to Bondi. We stayed at a beach house overlooking the sea, not much to tell as were simply sunning it up, but we do feel the need to mention $6 steak and chips at the "Lamrock" - loving it!! It was here that we decided to detox til' Christmas and haven't had a burger since.....well steph may have strayed - but only once!! Next stop - Surfers Paradise, we hope it lives up to it's name! xxx
