Well after the rain in Cape town we finally got some sun and headed up to Stellenbosch for 2 nights ( Thanks to John for the room - it was amazing)

Much drinking and eating ensued. We managed to hit 5 wineries and consumed some of the best wine i have ever drunk ....drunk would be great term to how we felt afterwards but i don't think it does us justice!....the towns also nestled in some great scenery, but enough about that; did i mention the wine was awesome?

After stellenbosch we drove along the coast to Hermanus. Lucky for us its whale season over there. We did however delay that trip to take in some great white sharks that happended to be in the vicinty of the cage we were diving in. This has to be the highlight of our trip so far! We had 3 3.5m sharks just inches away and only chicken wire between us and them, fantastic

The next day we went whale watching. This too was amazing. We saw them jumping out of the water! they came extremely close to the boat as well and we got some great shots.

That day we headed to Oudtshoon....this place is weird, 'deliverance' weird! we didn't venture out of our room and played cards and drank wine all night. We left very quickly the next day to Mossell Bay via route 62 which has very scenic mountain passes.

Mossel bay is lovely and bit of a surfers paradise. We'll leave here tomorrow and head towards Plettenberg bay and then to Jeffrey's Bay which has some of the best surf in the world. We shall amaze the locals with our skills and let you know how it goes.
