Well we're here in Namibia staying in a town called Swakopmund. Its by the sea......that's about it really, but its great to have a proper bed and pilow instead of the ground, sleeping bag and folded up clothes to use as a head rest.
First impressions of Namibia...flat, like most of africa we've seen.
But a few nights ago we stayed out in the bush under the stars at a place called Spitzcoppe. It a great place and looks exactly like Ayres rock in Oz. we got drunk and played loud music......it was also very picturesque.
Before that we did a bushmans walk with the locals, it was absolutely fascinating learning about all the roots and plants they use, but also their langauge is full of clicks and clucks which i could quite happily listen to all day
yesterday we went to a seal colony at Cape Cross, its full of seals and it stank! It was also formed as a site seeing spot in the year 6685! apparently the locals feel that the earth was formed in 5200BC...no i don't get it either.
We have about 6 days left of the tour we head to Sousslevei tomorrow and then work our way to Cape town through fish river canyon and the Orange river. looking forward to it.
