We left Freeport, Maine this morning after a restful sleep in our hotel and a cheap, hearty breakfast at the Freeport Cafe immediately beside the Best Western. I had the hugest and yummiest bowl of homemade oatmeal there and the pancakes were literally the size of the plates. The drive today was fairly short in comparison to yesterday, however we had a lot of difficulty navigating the final three km's to our hotel (another Best Western) as the roads and turnoffs and exits almost brought us to a point of screaming frustration. We paid a toll and were right by the hotel and then one wrong turn and we were heading the opposite way and had to come back around and pay the toll again - the best part was all the tiny voices expressing their urgent needs to visit the facilities. We are happily tucked away in our room where there is a large jet tub open to the room - Brooke and Cooper enjoyed a huge bath with jets and loved the surrounding mirrors which have been totally splashed with water. Our room is right beside a washer and dryer so Brooke gets her blanket back tomorrow :). After consulting the front desk about dinner options, James was informed that there was really nothing good around in terms of delivery.... slightly frustrating as we dare not venture out again into the madness of circling roadways and we are all famished. Fingers crossed against food poisoning :)
