An amazing day - we met this last day with excitement and a tinge of sadness with it being our last island stop. We are heading for our final island stop after spending half a day in Puerto Rico. We left the kids on the ship this stop in the children's programs. James and I boarded a lovely air conditioned bus and went on a tour of San Juan and then spent an hour at the fortress of San Juan which offered spectacular views of both the city and the ocean. We left the ship early this morning after a brief breakfast at the Windjammer. A huge line of open air buses waited with locals yelling out destinations and rustling up customers. A little intimidating... we were asked where we wanted to go and we said a beach with fish and bathrooms. We had such a fabulous day today and can see why cruises are a favorite trip of so many. James and I went rock wall climbing today for the first time. It has been a busy, busy day and I have retired to the cabin after a delectable dinner of Chicken Marsala with warm chocolate cake with milk chocolate sauce for dessert. Bliss.
