Today was a fairly brilliant yet boring day, we had decided to spend our last full day at Rattana around the pool. We got up had some breakfast from the shop which consisted of hot dogs (of course), then hit the pool, it was around 11:00 when we got there and sat in the sun all day until beer o'clock (about 15:30 today). Forever in and out the pool to keep cool, reading 'Jeremy Clarkson's - and another thing' we had a terrific day. We head back to the room at around 17:30 and had showers, then the biggest decision of any day, where to go for dinner. We went out to a BBQ we had seen advertised the day before, we got there and in the big tray in front of the restaurant they had the fish that you could eat on ice, we sat down and studied the menu. I went for the shark, and Sarah the tuna, we had to tell the gearer how we wanted it cooked and what size we wanted, we had to direct his knife to the size of fillet we wanted. He sliced my shark fillet off it was about one inch thick and half the width of the shark (it was only a wee one). We ordered three baked spuds and got salad with it (the baked spuds are small in Thailand), we loaded our plates with salad, the food came out, my shark was delicious and moist with pepper, Sarah's tuna the same but with garlic. Then the baked potato's, they were massive three was greedy, but we weren't to know, I said to Sarah 'we are not going until it's all eaten', she agreed. We ate about half of it and were stuffed, but persevered and ate the bleedin lot, well we left a quarter of a potato but we were Christmas Day full, we walked very slowly back to Rizzant and I decided to have an ice cream, it made me feel better surprisingly. We then brought breakfast and lunch for the following day as we had an early morning ahead of us to catch the bus to Khoa Sok. We got back and did infact manage to watch an uninterrupted episode of The Inbeteners before setting the alarm for 05:15 AM to catch the bus.
