The last day in Buenos Aires and we ve both eaten our weight in steak this week. BA is the perfect antidote to the three week tour of Peru, with its fairly unnecessary wake up calls at 5am and long long bus journeys. We stayed in Milhouse hostel, which describes itself as a ´party´ hostel, and is full of loose moralled Irish women and agressive men weilding bottles of vodka. We did have fun though especially in the bar in happy hour. Ba has good nightlife and clubs don´t get going to 1 or 2am, we went to a drum n bass club that was good and a brazilian club where every song sounded like it had been ripped off from an English band and then sung in Spanish with a dance routine.
The food is wonderful here. Our favourite restaurant was La Cabrera where you share the biggest steak you ve ever seen, with various rich side dishes and then get free champagne (and maybe feel a bit sick).
We re off to Uruguay tomorrow by ferry to a place called Colonia and then working our way round the cost. I dont know that much about the country apart from it has great beaches (which will be 15 degrees when we re there) and vineyards (ive never seen a bottle of uruguayan wine in my life), and the man at the embassy claimed that the country has ´no diseases´ so no need for vaccinations.
