Well today is our last full day in Paignton, and we've decided to make it a lazy day. A day for washing, shopping, buying souvenirs etc.
Yes ... souvenirs for all those lovely people that responded to my pleading for messages ... YES ... you will be the lucky receipient of sticks of ROCK ... yummy!! For anyone that doesn't know what sticks of rock are, they are basically enourmous molly bushells or humbugs made in the shape of a those silly oversized pencils you can buy in souvenir stores, usually with the name of the town they were bought in embedded throughout the middle of them.
Of course whilst packing them I realised how 'stick of dynamite' like they were in appearance and was thinking how funny it would be if I packed them in richies luggage with all of his power leads and adaptors for the razors, cameras and phones etc wrapped around them. I did happen to mention this to him and oddly enough decided it may not be such a good idea
But I confess the mental picture of richies luggage appearing on the collection belt in Bangkok smoke stained, shredded, with his clothes scattered everywhere after the bag had been manually detonated and blown up still makes me giggle
After shopping I headed out with Mum for some last minute art and craft gallery browsing ... I'm absolutely fixated on glass fusing and slumping and there are some fantastic galleries nearby. I'm going to book in for a course on it when I get back ... luckily there is a guild at Redhill that teach this particular skill ... I can't wait!
Once back it was another couple of hours brick bat championshiping whilst we waited for teatime to roll around. (Yes ... for all those tuning in for the scores ... I'm still winning ... probably only because I made sure I took the phone with me this afternoon so Richie couldn't play )
Once again Bill excelled himself in the kitchen with another awesome meal ... washing up and then some episodes of 'Last of the Summer Wine' before heading to bed in readiness for heading off tomorrow morning as we meander back to Heathrow and then Bangkok.
Night Night everyone
