Up early for a quick breakfast and 8am transfer to the airport. After arriving at the hotel we said goodbye to our driver and guide I must admit it was a really good trip. Tony and I both flew to Kuala Lumpur where I got a connecting flight back to Jakarta to start my Work Exchange, Tony was headed to for an extra week of visiting monkey etc in Sabah before heading home in just over a week. The flight to KL was uneventful and after a short goodbye at KL airport Tony headed to a different gate (as he was now staying in Malayasia) and yes we did fly Malayasian airlines which went off without a problem. My flight form KL to Jakarta was very empty so I was able to move to and have heaps of room, even thaough the flight was only 2 hours it was nice not to be cramped. After arriving in Jakarta I was preparing myself for some deays as I was returning after a short time and was now using my work visa but every thing was extremely smooth passed straight through and was outside in near record time. I had to recharge my Indonessian sim as I made a call at KL on the way to Cambodia and drained all credit. Once recharged I went looking for the driver for my airport transfer and once again on leaving the terminal I waited then walked right instead of left where the driver was waiting. We eventfully met up and the normal commute to the hotel which can take upto 3 hours at this time was remarkable quick so much so that we were approaching the city during the block out period (On the highway cars have to have at least 2 passangers otherwise they can be fined) so we had to leave the highway and use some side roads but still only took just over 1.5 hours to reach the hotel. After check in I was given my roster for the whole of the exchange and daily breakfast was included. I told I did not need to be at reception until 9am the next morning. My room is on the second floor and very nice. After unpacking it was time to head out for to Grand Indonesia for dinner and some shopping.
