An enjoyable drive northwards through amazing scenery and landscapes.

The first stop has been at the old imperial city of Meknes with its old stone walls and inner city fortified against invaders. The inner city held food supplies to feed the local population in the event of a seige.

As the afternoon drew to a close, it was a good time to experience the old Roman city of Volubilis. It's an extensive area and has been well excavated for tourists to see the extent of the city and the fabulous mosaics and buildings.

Finally, a long day came to an end at the ancient city of Fes which we wandered around tonight. Through narrow alleyways, past sellers of chickens, meats and vegetables in the ancient souk.

Tonight's meal was camel burger for Alex and lamb burger for me!
