After settling into the Morrocan House Hotel last night, this morning we joined a short walking your of Marrakech's medina including the famous souks and the Djemma el Fna square. It's a stunning cultural melting pot with great Islamic architecture and unusual sights such as monkeys and snakes in the main square.

Its my second trip here and the first for Alex who is enjoying the buzz, color and vitality of this city, which we will return to at the end of our trip.

This afternoon we travelled northwards to Ben Mellal via the impressive cascades at Ouzoud. You begin to get a sense of 'Africa' here as we move into the countryside and see rivers formed from the Atlas mountain range.
