India and Nepal 2022
I love Fes! It is just so medieval and a real step back in time where you don't need much imagination to put yourself back a few centuries.
Most of the day has been spent in the souk and navigating the narrow alleyways with shouts of 'ballach' telling you donkeys and goods are on their way through.
One of the unusual sights was a camels head outside a meat counter. Unfortunately, the world famous tanneries are being renovated and do not in use but we managed to grab a good view of the work being undertaken.
We took a minibus to a hilltop to get a panorama of the city and wee amazed to discover a new city to the north built to house the victims of the Agadir earthquake.
