Arrived safely in Guatemala on the 15th of Jan and was generously fostered by the Flores family living in Antigua just outside the capital. They immediately made me feel welcome and taught me a lot about Guatemalan culture that I probably wouldn't have learnt if I just moved into the volunteer's house with other foreigners straight away. Traveled about all over for the first couple of weeks to see all the different projects Casasito is either involved in or in charge of keeping afloat. Now in the volunteer's house living with two German volunteers Patricia and Gritta and will be building my first water tank in a week-looking forward to finding out more about the water projects and have been reading up quite a lot on what they've done already. The people and landscapes are amazing and Im thinking I should have signed up for a year!
