An early rise today to make sure that we got to Battery Park for our 9.00am Liberty Island tour. We ventured on the Metro and took the 1 Line to the end of Manhattan. This journey took nearly 1/2 hour which is a good indication of the length of Manhattan Island . After working out which Metro Station to get on at - always think Uptown or Downtown and of course you have to think that Uptown will be on the right side of the street and Downtown on the left. After 32 hours travelling we are finally here. The photo shows the aircraft crossing the international date line sometime today- or was it yesterday? I got about 5 hours sleep on the Hong Kong leg. We arrived New York at 1pm and after a long wait for bags we were finally let in to the USA.
