We had a restful morning in NYC before walking, wheeling ourselves up to Penn Station on West 33rd Street/8th Avenue. Penn Station , short for Pennsylvania Station is near Maddison Square Garden and as well as being a subway station it is the New York station for all regional trains leaving the city. We arrived back in NYC at 8.15pm last night. Part of the tour was a stop at a shopping outlet where many manufacturers sell their goods at reduced prices. Not for me, but many on the tour came back with bags of goodies. It was a great drive back for the last 1/2 hour when we could see New York City from New Jersey across the Hudson River. The border crossing back in to the USA was a little easier than lasts nights entry into Canada. Only 4 buses before ours, but at least the USA Border Protection had 6 officers on duty compared with the Canadians one! The USAside hotel a de terrain eat area is not as inviting as the Canadian and compared to the hustle and bustle of the Canadian side, it is very quiet, and further from the action. An early wake up(6am) breakfast and off to Horseshoe Falls from the Canadian side. The viewing area is very close to the final bend before the water cascades over the abyss. It is beautiful and certainly is very impressive. The result - from a viewpoint and sheer magnificence - Canada wins!. Now waiting at the border to cross back into the USA, then the Maid of the Mist boat ride to get seriously wet!,,
