We arrived at Busselton on the 9th of May. Busselton seems to be be a happening place. Lots of bars, coffee shops and resorts. I would think it's the place many Perth people come for holidays. Very pretty and famous for the longest jetty in the southern hemisphere (2km). We found a farm stay around 10km out of town and set the van up there. We have been here for three nights and filled our days in with doing the general tourist activities. These include the Cape Naturaliste Light House, visiting the beaches, shops, fun parks, ice creamery and caves. As normal we are finding it's so expensive in WA to do fun activities with the kids, so we just have to choose one thing they really want to do. Yallingup, not far from Busselton is a beautiful part of the world, the surf sucked me in and I hired a board taking me back to my adolscence years. Unlike fishing surfing comes naturally to me. The kids missed all the action opting for the playground instead. We are going to spend another night here and plan to do the train out the peir and the underwater aqarium. From here we want to head up to Bunbury early to hopefully swim with dolphins at the dolphin discovery centre. Just on WA we expected a lot more farming land than we have seen. It's suprising how much national park is around the coast in WA. Lots of wineries here heading down to Margret River, a few dairy farms but not the large scale broad acre farming as we expected there to be.
