It is now the very last night in the van and we are staying at an amazing campsite at Folkstone just near Dover!! We can actually see the white cliffs from our van!!
It's been a week since my last blog in which we have traveled from Cardiff right to the very west of England all along the bottom to the very east!!
On a very wet and rainy day in Cardiff we visited the Cardiff castle and the Millennium stadium which was a terrific tour especially for the £5 it cost us!! We walked around the town for a short time before taking cover in a movie cinema for the afternoon to escape the torrential wind and rain!!
After spending the day in Cardiff we drove to a campsite towards Bath ready to explore the following day. Before we visited bath we battled the crowds at Stonehenge another fantastic historical site in England. Although I must say I was a bit disappointed being charged £7.50 to view a naturally occurring historical site but not to worry it was worth it.
We then visited Bath which was just so lovely - such a beautiful town and exactly how you imagine English towns to be!! The roman Baths were just spectacular, it was so fantastic to be able to actually walk through the entire courtyard and picture how it used to stand before it was removed to make way for the town.
The following day we drove towards the Western point of England through Devon and Cornwell!! Along the way we stopped at St Ives for some afternoon tea and then kept on driving to Lands End - the most westerly point of England for some snaps. We stayed the night at Sennan Cove on top a hill overlooking the ocean - just another beautiful site to add to the collection.
The next morning we drove to the most Southern point - Lizard Point (just because we could) and I had a Cornwell Creme Tea :) very yummy!! We spent most of the day driving towards our next port of call through Plymouth, Exeter and stopping at Exemouth before arriving at Charmouth for the night.
The following day we drove from charmouth to Lulworth cove - a naturally occurring inlet featuring stones ranging from 65 million to 150 million years old!! We then stopped at Weymouth and Portland and continued onto Chinchester. It was here that we were rejected for the first time of all the nights we spent winging it - showing up hoping for an available spot. This wasn't bad news after all as we just drove another half hr up the road to another campsite in the forest which was much nicer looking than the first with pretty bluebirds singing all day long :) Dad you would have loved listening to the birds here :)
The next morning we drove to a small town called Billinghurst so Evan could watch the origin which he spent over an hr online researching and making phone calls trying to find a pub near Brighton that was showing the game!! That afternoon we drove into Brighton visiting the pier and wandering around the pretty lanes and enjoying the sunshine!!
That takes us upto our last day of our van tour which we spent traveling to the White cliffs of Dover where we went for a lovely walk along the cliffs.
What can I say it has been a spectacular trip around the UK and we are both so glad we decided to hire the campervan!! We would defiantly recommend it to anyone we have seem some amazing countryside and been to places in sure people who live in the UK haven't even been too!!
This weekend we are heading back to London - I have 3 of my friends from home coming over for a contiki tour and Evans sister and her boyfriend arrive the following day so it's going to be a great weekend catching up with everyone :)
Our next post will be all about our adventures in Ireland so stay tuned!!
Love Rhiannon and Evan xxx

Peter bendeich Hi Ran and Evan So good to talk to both on Sat night - even though we were all a bit pissed - we had the best time at Nats and Kaths with Ris and the Backs, checked out a few wineries on Sun and called into T and D's on the way home - very tiring w/e. I reckon u are having the best time over there in the van - the only way to go, mum said u rang from the airport today on the way to Ireland - you will love the country and the people, seeing the queen and co was unreal and the whitecliffs as well - T was very jealous that u saw QE11. Stay Safe love Pierre
Sihem maybe a quick trip to edinburgh? you can do it ovhenigrt it's a five hour train trip, but only an hour on a plane you could fly up really early one morning and back late the next day or something. edinburgh is probably my fave city in the world other than my own, I love it there, so I think it'd be worth it!Brighton is nice, too.. and Cornwall (and both are closer than edinburgh! hehe)
