Colleen & Tom's Explorations
Well the seas were quite rough last night as the captain predicted. This morning we continued ploughing through the 10ft swell. We went up to La Terrazza for brekky but the waiters didn't want me trying the buffet, insisting on bringing me everything I wanted so's not to risk the unstable floors. La Terrazza is on deck 7, and at the rear of the ship, so a little more movement. I had a smoked salmon omelette with smoked salmon on the side. I did a couple of loads of washing so that everything will be clean when we get off. We took it easy this morning and then went to the dining room for lunch. The sadness about the end of the cruise is growing. After a delicious Italian lunch we returned to our suite for a nap. This afternoon we just relaxed and read. The seas are much calmer now. We had showers before going down to trivia. Our team came second. It was pretty hard. After trivia we went to the Viennese Lounge for a talk on the great ocean liners, then it was times or a quick martini and then to prepare for our final formal night. Dinner was wonderful. Lots of lobster and scallops. Crepes Suzette and mango sorbet. With French champagne. Oh! So sad. What shall we do in Hazelbrook? Nicholas came by to chat with us, saying he's pleased I complained about the filet Mignon because he got to know us, he learnt something, he will cook it during his holidays and he will think of us! After dinner we went to another wonderful show - songs from movies!
