Colleen & Tom's Explorations
This morning we leisurely got up for brekky in la Terrazza. We had a good view of the working port and the city in the distance. It was too hot and humid at 9am to eat on the outside terrace. We decided to take ourselves up to level 10 (the highest part of our little boat) to watch the port and eventually the sail away at 11.30. With this ship, if we're all onboard earlier, we leave earlier, so we were away, blowing our horns, at 11.20am. We watched the Azamara tie up on the adjoining dock, and all the buses lined up on the wharf came down and collected the passengers for their tours. The lovely Jane and Joe came along and sat down with us. We chatted for hours, made ourselves coffees and teas, and just kept on chatting. At 12.45 we all decided to head off for lunch, returning to our suites but meeting up in la Terrazza. We stayed there until almost 3pm!! 'Twas lovely - really interesting. We returned to our suite for a nap and rest before trivia at 5. "The wandering Aussie Quizzly Bears + 1 brilliant Brit and 1 cruising Californian" came second!! We do have fun. No other group laughs as much as us! We stayed on chatting to Cheryl and Grahame over martinis and such before realizing that it was well after 6 and Tom was inappropriately dressed (no shorts in public places after 6pm) and they do stick to their dress code, so we returned to our suite. We had decided to have dinner in our suite, to use up our bottle of Pomfrey French champagne. So we ordered in - the most tender of steaks, wonderful bruschetta, prawn martini and creme brulee. So depressing. Only 2 more nights. So sad.
