Nope, we'd have left you in the reed beds without the basket.

I thought you were my parents!

Hi Arjan
Stretched limos in Time Square a bit different to a Defender 110 with a b*ggered fuel filter, you're going soft in your old age.
Trust you'll be doing some deaf leopard heavy doom music clubbing in New York, remind us to bring earplugs if we get to Rotterdam!
Good luck with the 15th wedding anniversary now the surprise has gone.
Have a good trip

You need to thank your parents for that sharp wit, if only you knew who they were!

If you really want to have a nice X-mas, visit us................ in New York . It will be something completely different then our time in Botswana. The day we arrive at JFK (december 22nd) is our 15th wedding anniversary, there is a Stretch Limo waiting for us to bring us to the hotel at Times Square..... (This is a surprise for Patricia, so darling If you are reading this, you ruined the surprise) We will be thinking of our time in our Landrover in Botswana. I think I will like the Defender beter .
Everybody here in Holland liked the 'going dutch' story/photos on your site. Finally friends and family see pictures of us in far away countries.
After a nice glass of wine and an hour of good music (Porcupine Tree) I am going to bed, it is almost midnight.......... Speak to you later..........
Enjoy
Emily & Steve
you are definitely losing the ability to insult properly...most disappointing. Mind you, I always did say if you were constipated you'd have nothing to say at all.

Hi Steve
We were thinking of returning home for Christmas and visiting you in Parkhurst Prison but they said they put you in solitary confinement for your own safety.

Where are you spending Christmas then?

Pretentious....moi?

Hi Rob
Great to hear from you. I've just mentioned Dave in a bit of a rant about Overlanders, just uploaded on our website. Pleased he's survived Papua New Guinea. Did he donate half his body weight to the locals?
Good to hear about the travel work with Roger, we spoke to Miles a few times in Botswana but distance was a bit far to meet for a beer.
Our cell number here in Namibia is (from UK) 00264 81354 5904. The network is very dodgy sometimes, we either get no text/SMS messages or 3 of the same. Try the number again if you wouldn't mind. Once we've received a message it is easy to reply, sending one direct to a number without an incoming message is tricky. Very strange!!
On wi fi hotspot in Swakopmund, about as fast as the first BT internet connections in UK 10 years ago. Never mind we are in the middle of a coastal desert so it's a bit of a miracle that there is anything here at all.
Thanks for update
Ralph

Hi Ralph & Angela
Hope you are well and enjoying life. Just to say Dave is back from Vanuatu for a couple of months - has been staying with me and is now in Devon helping his Mum (who has made a good recovery) but is looking after Dave's sister - so he is giving a hand. Steve coming over in early December and Rona at end of January. Already got himself a Consultancy job here. Papua New Guinea by all accounts was a dangerous and unfortunately a very non productive interlude !! Apparently Brazilians have a lot to learn about how to really fleece the system from the Papua New Guineans.
Doing a pitch to Air Namibia and Namibian Tourist Board amongst quite a few other things at the moment. Roger - co-editor - is drumming up sales in southern Africa !! And Miles is still prospecting and drilling his chunk of the Kalahari.
Have tried to email straight back when I have received an email from you - but I think it gets lost. Have also texted - so has David - but that seems to have got lost as well. Alternatively of course you might just possibly not have a 10 meg broadband pipe there or have Virgin media on tap for your mobile reception!!!
Best wishes Rob
Ralph
Hi Patricia
Nice to hear from you.
Etosha is not as expensive as Sossusvlei now, that's gone up to N$600 plus park fees, all the Namib Naukluft, Fish River and Waterberg campsites have gone up as well.
Big shame, interesting to see if they can keep these price levels going!
Have a great time in New York
Take care

Hi Tim and Ann
Thanks for comments. Bears causing problems makes a change from jackals and baboons.
We've just moved on to the Atlantic coast at Swakopmund and are freezing (relative to Etosha), a mere 11C last night and 18C today, cold Atlantic wind as well and damp.
North and/or South America may well be our next trip, just need to see how long we can stay with a visa. Thanks for invite
