Hi ! It all sounds so exciting ! Have an awesome birthday in New York ! We'll be thinking of you - and with the cold weather here at the moment - will certainly drink some red wine on your behalf. All the very best - and may you pack LOADS of interesting travels into the next 50 !
Looking forward to lots of interesting news about Alaska - always great to add more info onto our website.
Chat again soon.
All the very best

Hi Heike
Great to hear from you. We are waiting for our new photo driving licences to turn up with various other financial things then we can start planning and booking a 3 month trip to Alaska, probably going early July?
Should be back in Africa next October for a trip to Zambia and Malawi then who knows after that!
Nice to hear the old wrinklies have been to Liverpool to see the concert, was there room for all the zimmer frames?
Envious of your Cederberg trip, if it hadn't been 46C when we were there we would have been doing the big hikes and severe climbs, a doddle!
Take care and keep in touch

Hi There ! Looks like you are enjoying all the good things that England has to offer - and in the middle of soccer fever ! What are your plans ? How long are you in the UK for ? Lynn and Simon were in Liverpool for a weekend to see the Paul McCartney concert ! Awesome or what !! Otherwise all well on this end - cold and raining too - about the same as your summer ! Spent an awesome weekend in the Cederberg - with lots of hiking and climbing (thought that you guys would have enjoyed another "doddle" !). All the best and hope to hear from you again soon !
Ciao

Hi Phil & Sue
Thanks for comments, still going to add some blogs and hopefully doing some magazine articles in future.
Camped near the No1 Detectives Agency locations in Gaborone Botswana, loads of US ladies going on guided tours of the villages etc. Have yet to read one yet though!
With hindsight we shouldn't have sold our UK car when we left, proving difficult and expensive to get around now so may not be able to make West Sussex this trip!
Will be in touch

Hi Richard
Great to hear from you, that bottle of wine sounds great, I 've still got the hangover from last time 2years ago! Hate to think how it is going with BMI, I've heard there have been plenty of changes!
Will be in touch once mobile sorted

Hi Guys so your back for a while then!!, must be awful, what am I gonna read to cheer me up now??, there is a new No.1 Ladies Detective Agency book out, but not as much fun as your website (and no pictures...unlike my normal books!) be great to see you both if you are anywhere near West Sussex!!, love to you both!

The wanderers return, albeit briefly by the sound of it.
Welcome back to the UK and isn't it amazing how time flies. When you get very bored Ralph feel free to call for an update on BMI that will amuse you no end. I appreciate you're probably not all interested in the past but you clearly still have a sense of humour so it might make you smile!
I'd like to know this: why Alaska and when and where do you plan to return to when your legs are tired?
Best wishes to you both and a bottle of red at The Four Seasons beckons!
Richard.

Hi Marc
Tried phoning you on your birthday but just get French woman rambling on about something, no idea if it is the message service or not.
Belated 54th birthday greetings (Angela reckons you look older than that) sorry about Chelsea losing out on Premiership to ManU, advance apologies for losing UEFA Champs League final to ManU next Wednesday night.
All well with us, Central kalahari was stunning, have to go back again. Are you still on for Zambia & Malawi later in year, if so when?
Take care, you're not getting any younger!

Hi Lesley
Just arrived in Maun. Gone colder here, 9C overnight and only 19C at lunchtime. Amazed to see an elephant on way here from Nata, nowhere near a national park, great sight.
I'll put in a word for Bill re the nurses uniform next time I hear from Marc!
Trailer wheel bearings being done today, Landrover clutch going like a dream now.
