Cape Town Thank You
We reluctantly departed Cape Town to head north to Namibia via the Cedarberg Mountains and Springbok.
This is the route taken by thousands of tourists during the wild flower season, we are just 4 months late or 8 months early to see it but intend coming back. We also want to return to see the migrating Southern Right whales close inshore and to revisit Cape Town to see the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and the view from Table Mountain. There is also the small matter of several hundred vineyards and estates requiring our tasting skills.
This means that Ken & Nancy, Heike & Clint and Simon and Lyn have 8 months to sell up and move before we descend on them again, they have been warned!
Angela and I would like to thank them all for their kind and generous hospitality over the last couple of weeks, they have all welcomed us as part of their families, taken time out from their busy routines, wined and dined us, got us information and contacts as required and generally looked after us.
Thank you all for your wonderful South African hospitality (we won’t mention the gas braai Clint) and should you find yourselves in the UK in the future you are very welcome to stay with our friends there, we’ll be in South Africa!
