Rachel and Sion Go Down Under
Darwin is a large town (by Australian standards). It is the gateway to Indonesia and Asian countries. In fact it is closer to Indonesia's capital Jakarta than to Canberra. We thought it was a bit cout off from the rest of Australia. It was bombed heavily in WWII, and was devastated by cyclone Tracy in the 70's. So many of the old buildings have not survived. Because of this it doesn't really have any tourist attractions, apart from the Northern Teritory museum, which was it's best feature. We enjoyed looking around the aboriginal art and the cyclone Tracy exhibition.
