hi everyone! we have just spent three nights in total luxury (thanks to Nigel Wong!) We stayed at the Berjaya Langkawi, in a room similar to the picture, that usually costs RM 2000 a night (just under $1000 Australian), but we got it virtually for free, the bonus of having kind friends, with business accounts, and I just nodded everytime they called me "Mrs Wong". Check out if you would like to be jealous:

I had a bath! Ayanda had pancakes! But the highlight was sitting eating desert with Nigel, at the Beach Restaurant, with the live latin band playing "Guantanamera" while Ayanda watched cartoon network in the room.
Our room was a cabin on stilts in the water, with water all around us, but you couldnt just jump into the water, it was very rocky. Our room was one kilometer from the reception, and very quiet, we needed to ring a shuttle to go anywhere. Next door to us arrived some Arab'sthere were 10 suitcases for the two of them! They had a separate Taxi just for their luggage! This was the kind of neighbourhood we were in!
On Friday we went to the Snake Sanctuary, and when we walked past the cobra exhibit (a big glass case) two off them hissed at us, reared up and with their big cheek flap things, it was scary, we actually couldnt walk past as we had to walk within half a meter of them, they were so scary, so we actually retraced our steps and went back to the start just so we didnt have to walk past them :) And they hiss loud!
On Saturday we went to the Crocodile farm, and we were walking around and Ayanda said "gee they dont do much they just sit there in the sun" when a four croc major death match started!!! One croc was Bleeding, dripping blood and they were still fighting, and make these horrible throaty noises. We have got it all on film. One croc wacked another with it's tail... actually I wont describe it I will just have to try and get the film on this site.
Yesterday we went to Bird Paradise. Today we moved back to our little beach hut, 1/20th the price of last night, no swimming pool or pancakes :) but people happy to see us, and we can afford the menu here :)
We are only here on the Island a few more days, we can see Thailand from here, it is only a 1 hour ferry, but have decided not to go to Thailand, as things are getting worse there. We are heading down to Penang on Thursday, to stay with Za'ain and his family in the small village of Kampung Ulu Bakai

I have a feeling we will have such a lovely time that it might be hard to leave them. I also have the feeling that we wont have email? But I have the Mobile phone! And this is what we need a mix of luxury, with some local small village life and a pancake every now and then :)
