Magnificent, mind-blowing,'mazing', museums...we did 'em all today.
Started with some modern art; Dali, pollock, braque, matisse, mondrian and of course warhol. More one for the grown ups but did have some brilliant interactive arty games that the boys rated.
We then ended up at food market ... Very organic and 'right on' but high on the yummy scale! Leo reckons the strawberries ,which were organic, were the best ever. Gus and si had a palette for some hot and spicy fishy tacos. Becky fell in love with the veg, especially the shiny, brightly coloured peppers perfectly aligned on the stalls.
Next was the wax museum and yes ...we saw obama. The next was Ripleys 'believe it or not museum' it was like the Guinness book of records but in wax works and collected items from all over the world. Plus there was a mirror maze. Awesome! After two hour and half hours we dragged ourself away.
Finally, it was the musique mechanic that actually had the old arcade games Si and I had played( Phoenix and space invaders) as kids. There was also the same table of games as uncle Julian has and this bizarre mechanical boxing game where the boys had to punch each others action figures.....grrrrr!
More nibbles of octopus and calamari from the stall at fisherman's wharf and then a speedy car drive back to our hotel!!!... Or was it a roller-coaster...?
