After breakfast said goodbye to the Moonlight Hotel Hue and headed to Da Nang. We passed through some fishing villages along the way and over a mountain pass which was partly covered with cloud. Also a village of Lepers! These are elderly people apparently, still suffering the effects of Leprosy. Also went through a couple of mountain tunnels which appeared well built. Arrived in Da Nang, quite a modern port city and visited the museum. Quite a Hindu influence here. Also went to Marble Mountain, an area where marble is sculpted into beautiful figurines and tables etc. Every second place seemed to be devoted to marble art. We went up in a glass elevator and saw a few more Bhuddas before returning to the car and off to Hoi An and the Royal Riverside Hotel. Ate dinner at a local restaurant on the other side of the river. Seemed to be a nice family run place. Walked along the river and there were a lot of people out and about. Much more crowded than Hue and noisier. Lots more street vendors and rap music. Got a bit lost on the way back and ended up down a dark alley but eventually found our way back to the hotel.
