First day at altitude. Jen went a paler shade of her usual off-white with altitude sickness. We rested up for the afternoon. Staying in this really welcoming family hostel type place (Hospedaje Turismo Caith) run by a mix of Italian-Peruvians; the money from the tourists funds for an adjoining home for orphaned girls. We ate dinner with them and they did this weird thing of putting chips in soup. Mental. Jen had to excuse herself very early on during dinner with the sickness and we all got to enjoy the dulcet tones of her throwing up, or trying to throw up, from our bedroom above. I got a bit of a headache but fingers crossed all ok.
