Good day from the land of Aussie everyone. We are in Sydney now and here to stay for the duration of xmas and new year. The last few days have been the most disorientating I have ever experienced. A mixture of hangovers and jet lag has left me in a bewildered state. I woke up today thinking i had slept through a whole day, when it was actually really early in the morning.
I believe my last journal was left when we arrived at this club called Zouk in Singapore via some crazy bike/couches, with a bit of 'stand by me' in the background. The night out in Zouk was brilliant. 2 for 1 on drinks between 11 and 12, we wellied down the vodka red bulls. In england the queues would have been astronomical, but here they werent. I think their drinking culture is a little different to ours. Anyways, we were in there till 5am and met plenty of locals. One of them was this guy who knew everyone there. He got us up to the VIP bit, which was pretty cool. He was a sound lad. As gay as they come. Unfortunately it turned out he had taken a liking to me. I had to take cover behind his female friend because of his wandering hands. All in all was a very funny night out and definately up there with the full moon party.
Check out time the next day was 11am. I was in bed at 6am. Oh dear. I woke up at 10am in a terrible state. I immediately decided to pay for an extra night just so i could go back to bed. Our flight was at 10.15pm that night from Singapore to Adelaide, then Adelaide to Sydney. We arrived in Sydney about noon. Is brilliant to be back here after 3 years. We are staying at YHA railway square, which happens to be right next to "Wake up" where me and Macca stayed. I took the lads on a bit of tour round the harbour. The weather was fantastic. Blue skies, no rain and low humidity. Temperature about 25 degrees. Absoultely perfect. We decided to head back to the hostel about 4pm to get some kip as at this point we were dropping like flies. Woke up disorientated about 8pm and headed for "side bar" which is in the wake up hostel. Great memories from last time. After a few scooners of Tooheys New, a pretty crazy thing happened. Matt Williams and Chris Allsop walked in. Quite surreal when your on the other side of the world. Dont worry Russell, your membership card is safe under Matt's porch. Haha. The rest of the night was a bit of a blur. We ended up at "Scubar", another one Macca should remember. This is when the SnakeBite jugs started. It was the first time I realised how close xmas is last night, when they started playing loads of xmassy songs. Cant believe its only 2 days away. Right then. Gotta go wake the lads up who are still in bed, then we are off to shop for a car that will take us to Cairns. this is probably going to be my last journal entry before xmas, so I hope everyone has a fantastic time. We are 11 hours ahead now, so think of us when ur going to bed on xmas eve. Enjoy ur xmas dinners, gits.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
