Wednesday : sunny

We were moving to our new place today, and the blue sky was out. We were told numerous times today that we were lucky with the weather. Apparently the last week had been pretty bad.

It took awhile to pack up for the move, and once at the new place, it didn't look as bad as we thought, when we first came to view the place. It seemed bigger, and had the fellas giving it a lick of fresh paint for us. So we dumped the bags and went to go meet up with Grant at Maccas and waited for it to dry.

We had a bite to eat then went into town. We had to get to the bank and pickup our pins, then we were going to go in the London eye. It's the big ferris wheel.

The wheel was good, it had great views of Big Ben. The weather closed in a bit dsarvo but the the clouds were high so it didn't really effect anything. It's takes awhile to complete a loop, and we got to see dusk turn into evening and all the lights turn on. Good timing by us.

After the wheel we headed for Buckingham palace, and it was lit up too. We then walked to the train station, but took a detour through a Christamas fair that was on in Hyde park, the fair is called winter wonderland.

It was a pretty intense and well setup fair. Had loads of rides and stalls, pubs and restaurants, it looked pretty good Kim and I will have to come back another time.

We got back to the train station and asked a few people how to get to ikea. We just needed to pickup a few goodies to get us started for the flat. The people were very helpful, one lady showed us off the train and took us to the bus stop. So far the poms have been grand.

We took the bus to ikea and it turned out to be a big shop. We then headed back to the flat via the same bus. It took awhile to unpack and put everything in it's place but we were all washed and in bed by midnight.
