Tuesday - Rain
Well the nice evening last night didn't stay for long, the rain came at about 6am this morning and didn't die down enough to leave the flat until 1or2pm.
We went for a bit of a walk in some light drizzle, up the road past a few farms over to the west coast of Malta. I think it's only a 2km walk from where we are.
We went for a look at the popeye village. It was the movie set built for the 80s flick with Robbin Williams. The village is in a great spot. It's in a really pretty bay, that had a couple water trampolines and slides that looked like fun. The village has maybe 20 or so timber houses that look real cartoony as well.
We continued walking past the village, through a bit of a national park. The park had a desert look about it. Lots of rocks and only a few small trees and shrubs. On one of those shrubs I saw a chameleon, and it was awesome! It changed colours three times for us, green, black and grey. It was so cool, it's eyes move independently from each other, and are like pin holes. We watched the chameleon slowly walking around from shrubs to rocks then back to shrubs changing colours for awhile.
We then gave the lizard some space and walked over to the sea, and sat down on the cliffs edge, looking at the cliffs along the coast and the dark blue water below.
We eventually made our way back over to the east coast, and stopped off at a tourist office to book a cruise around Malta's north tomorrow. The weather is suppose to be fine, let's hope so.
We then went to the Mexican bar and restaurant where it was happy hour, 2 for 1 cocktails. We also had some nachos then came back to the flat for some marinated steaks that we prepared earlier and some wine.
