I have never been that far down a runway before taking off before! By the look on everyone's face, I think it was thet every other person was praying we took off that we actually did! What a massive aeroplane! Wicked!
I ended up sitting next to a chatty Thai girl. I couldnt really understand her, but after a lot of hand waving, pointing and general nodding on my part, we seemed to get on well. I did end up pretending to sleep a lot though just so I didnt have to talk to her anymore. And she stole my chocolate from my evening tea! How Rude!
I know I dont do much in my 7.5hr work day, but 11.5 hrs on a flight with no corridors to wander is just too much! Not looking forward to the return journey!
We finally landed at 5.25pm local time. After walking around the airport for 20 mins not knowing where the hell I was going, I then qued for 30 mins just to get the first stamp in my passport of this trip. I got my bag and ive just been walking around with my mouth wide open ever since. This place is AWSOME!!!
Its just sooo busy! So many people trying to get somewhere. Neon signs everywhere! Wicked!
I managed to get a room (the whole process being very strange and new) and then went for a walk around.
I decided I wasnt brave enough to buy anything wierd to eat yet, so found a good old Mc Donalds. Everything is in Chinese and English, so that makes it a bit easier. I bought a bigmac meal, which only cost 1pound 40 pence BARGAIN!!! (damn chinese keybords dont have pound signes!!) I sat on Hong Kong Harbour taking it all in, watching the boats cross back a forth.
Finally got to bed around 11pm knackered! Felt a bit strange being so far away from anyone I know! Too many emotions to deal with really. Hopefully it'll get easier! I hope!
Today,
ive been and bought my ferry ticket to Macau, and my Malarone Tablets. They cost a bit more
