Well, after our LONG first night of partying, we decided to get up early. And by early, I mean 10am lol. Anyways, got up and got ready and then went to Natalie's school, UJI. It was really interesting, very modern, not at all what I expected! But the best part was the cool espresso machines. Its like a vending machine but with espresso shots, AMAZING! As if I wasn't addicted enough, now I have espresso machines to go! haha. On our way back, we stopped at a store called Corte Ingles. Sort of like a high class walmart and radioshack and nordstrom combined. LOVE IT! We went into a few little chinese stores too, there are basically a million of them here. And they have EVERYTHING you could ever need from toilet paper to candy to shower heads to forks. Lol.
Then, we planned on going to the beach which I was very excited about, but I'm beginning to learn that we shouldn't try to actually PLAN anything on this trip b/c it doesn't really work that way haha. Instead, we stayed and waited for my bags to arrive because the airport told us they would. Im pretty sure I called the airport 8 million times and tried to convince them that I had medicine in my bag thinking this would somehow constitute an emergency delivery...I was wrong. lol. While we were waiting we worked on booking the rest of our hostels and planned out some more of our trip. I'm getting SOOOO excited to leave on our Eurotrip!
well, needless to say, my bags didn't come today at all. So we decided to just stay in and make dinner. we made these amazing sandwiches and we put eggs and stuff on them and this cool burger stuff. So far, I like the food. Even though its not at ALL what I thought it would be like, nothing is spicy like Mexican food, its all very bland.
We were watching episodes of The Office on Tallie's computer while we were eating and we kept hearing this really loud music outside. We went outside pretty quickly to check it out, thinking it was some festival or party! We followed it, only to find that it was a big festival...for kids. Very weird. So we kept walking and heard more music. Another festival for kids. And I'm ALREADY sick of hearing Umbrella and Please Don't Stop the Music, pretty sure those are the only songs they play haha.
Well, rather dismayed, we walked back towards the apartment but decided to stop by Julia's place. I was so glad to find a whole bunch of people that I had met already! We played some drinking games and hung out, it was so fun. Great way to end the night! We came back and Tallie showed me all of her cool pictures from her trips so far, I'm excited to take a million more!!!! It seems like she's had so much fun, I FOR SURE want to study abroad now!
Anyways, off to bed again. Buenos noches!!!
