Hey there all, we've been on the move! We have come north to a place called Pai ( bye in english ). Which is about 3/4 hours drive from Chaing Mai. We only stayed in Chaing Mai for one night in a really friendly, clean guest house called Bamboo Den. We had such a goog night there that we have decided to go back for a little while on the way back down to the islands. North Thailand is so layed back it's unreal, there is'nt as much tourism as in Bangkok or on the Island, making the pace of life very slow and easy.

At the moment we are in a place called Pai ( prononced Bye ). Pai really is'nt like anything i've experianced before. It's a small town that basically just happens to be in Thailand, a kind of travellers mecca. There is a big art culture here, from music and painting to healing arts, it all here. We were told about a place to stay in called the Unicorn's house. So we headed straight there and got a room easy enought. The people there are so nice, very welcoming and friendly, we have made a hole group of new friends. There's a great spirt here where evryone use's there skill's in exchange for other's so there's almost no need for money. There are Reiki healer's, artist, musicians, masuses and proformers like my self. So basically in return for a proformance or a song you can get a massage. Hey works for me. Another plus is the great view we have every morning when we look out the back of our hut. About the worst thing about it was getting here, and that was just beautiful as well. We had a 3/4 hour journey from Chaing Mai. We headed out to the mountain's in a cramped mini van, then contiuned to snake our way up the mountain then back down the other side. There where some beautiful veiw's and clean air. Sorry thought i'd packed my camera so i did'nt get ant photo's ( this won't happen again !!), we have to go back that way so you see them in about a week.

A big thing here is stargazing. There is very little light poluton here, espcally up in the hills. So there are loads of little bar's up there with stunning view's of the heaven's. It's just criminal how much we lose out on in the towns and city's of the west thought not seeing the stars in this way.

Tomorrow were going out into the jungle for the days so should make for some nice experiance's and some cool photo's sure that you'll all see them here. Talk soon CXXXX
