Curiously by the time we had all gotten up this morning the awful festival seemed to have shut up, finally. We had breakfast and went for a short drive to Saida orphanage. When we got there I was immediately grabbed by a little girl called Monica and shown around. We went out into the yard and played with the kids, pushed them on swings and played soccer with them.
I put my sunglasses on this little girl who seemed about three and she loved that and I let her wander around with them on. I also acquired a hip attachment in the form of a little boy called Moses, who would not let me put him down. The kids showed us their nursery and proceeded to pull the beds down and jump on them. I joined in."Go Mzungu!" They all yelled at me. Mzungu is the Swahili word for white person.
We left the orphanage and went and set up camp at Nakuru where we will be spending two nights.
