DAY 20: We departed at 8:30am for the famous Lake Bled, Slovenia. When we arrived, it was absolutely breathtaking! Seeing it in real life was even better than the pics I've seen before. Waters were absolutely crystal clear turquoise-blue, surrounding a quaint chapel perched on a little island in the centre of the lake...Slovenian Olympian rowers were training up and down the lake...ducks and swans were floating about. Spectacular!!
Me, Andie, Eddy, James and Anjuli hired a row boat for an hour... Man was it an adventure! Eddy started rowing..the boat went a really wonky path. Andie screamed at him. Then Andie and Anjuli took over, each taking one oar.. Andie started screaming her head off again!!..swearing at how it was so difficult to sweep the oar through the water, swearing at the boat veering off course, swearing at how Anjuli's one stroke was to her two strokes..!! Haha fun times!!!!
We visited the chapel on the little island then headed back, this time, he ride was much smoother and less dramatic (without Andie being at the oar). James surprisingly did a very good job. Eddy couldn't help but take his shirt off (as it was "too tight", preventing him from rowing properly), and me...I was enjoying myself taking loads of pics from the end of the boat!! :)
We jumped back onto the bus again to head to Kirchdorf, Tirol Region in Austria!
