DAY 21: A free day to explore the Tirol Region, Austria! Me, Andie, Anjuli, Sophie, Wes and Eddy went to hire a bike for a day for €15. Bikes were good quality mountain bikes although we just rode along the river on a flat bike path, heading towards the next town in the Tirol region - St Johann.
Andie, Eddy and Wes disappeared somewhere so I hung around with Anjuli and Sophie. The bike ride was sooooooo fun!-- riding along the river was relaxing and the scenery of the Austrian Alps and fields on both sides was beautiful!
St Johann was a bigger town than Kirchdorf with alot of restaurants, cafes, a church and museum. We roamed around the town searching for postcards and other souvenirs. Then we rode to the next town -- Obendorf. We somehow managed to take a slightly more difficult route - off the flat bike path following the river and through the woods for about 30 mins. Ugh! My legs were burning and my whole body was wet with sweat!
After finally reaching Obendorf, an ice cold Zipfer beer was very rewarding! We found a much easier path (along the river) back to St Johann and Kirchdorf, the whole ride back taking less than an hour. The most exercise I've done in a single session for a very long time.. But it felt great!!
Our dinner was a special traditional Austrian meal at 'Kaiserbachtal', a restaurant situated 1,000m above sea level, up on a mountain, the surrounding alps around the restaurant were majestic! A three-course dinner consisted of a chicken noodle soup, deer venison ragout with Austrian pasta and apple strudel for dessert. The ragout and the dessert were great (7/10) and the 'Huber Brau' Tirol beer was even better! (best beer out of the three I've tried so far in Austria).
Then back to our cute Austrian Gasthof, 'Pension Marliesenhof'. An early departure at 7:30am tomorrow!

Pangeran Just so you know. At present, the event ceadnalr doesn't show anything not already shown on the home page to the right side bar. In fact, on the right side bar, it is broken out into upcoming God Rock services and upcoming rehearsals whereas here, it is all-in-one without distinguishing between them.
