A quick one before i disappear for a week. It was changeover this week. With 3 volunteers going (actually Emily is still around) and 3 new ones arriving. Namely, Lorna (37, US), Katilyn (19, US), Adrian (18, UK - Peterborough). 'Ade' was a surprise as we thought we were getting a Canadian girl. I am now teaching co-ordinator (yes i know dad - you told me not to take control - but was either me or Tom). So for the next 5 weeks i will say who teaches whom....

On Sunday, we had one of the more fulfilling days with the kids yet. No lessons, just fun. I organised a card hunt, with three coloured teams - play got started about an hour late because of heavy rain! We had a pinyata (baloon breaking), some maasai jumping, some football, a nativity play and some mexican food. It was knackering, but worth it. Dec 1st. World Aids Day. Appropriately, we started taking the children for HIV tests this week. Getting involved in the health of the kids was not something i envisaged or particularly hoped. But this is a one-off project which we felt important to be involved in. Well, its the weekend again. Relax. It's been a struggle at times i can tell you - mostly dealing with tensions in camp. I've been ill and been falling in and out of love with Tanzania. Well, the last few days have been exhausting both emotionally and physically. So much so, that I fell ill yesterday for the first time.
