After the conference's closing ceremonies this afternoon, we hiked to a cable car that took us up more than a mile in altitude into the Tatras Mountains to the Skalnate Plaso Observatory. We posted some photos from the observatory and the journey there.

Phill's talk went well. There were lots of well known astronomers in attendance. We posted a few pictures in a new album.

Yesterday, we went on a river rafting trip on the Slovakia-Poland border. We made it to the International Astronomical Union Symposium 282: "From Interacting Binary Stars to Exoplanets: Essential Modeling Tools", in the foothills of the High Tatras mountains in Tatranska Lomnica, Slovakia!
