Chilly morning, popped the heating on for a bit!! All up early and heading out for the day. First stop Arthur's seat, a lovely viewpoint over the mornington peninsula and then into the enchanted maze and gardens. Enjoyed looking around all the different mazes, letting the boys explore and try out the different mazes and then odd to the tube slides. Gethin again quite nervous although keen to have a go didn't actually make it down the slide runs. Jon and the McInnes' enjoyed though. Coffee and cookies in the sunshine before letting the boys loose in the sweet shop there!
We drove onto sorreento, had lunch in a lovely beach shack on the front, very chilled bar, would have been lovely for a night out, but lunch with the kids had to do! Moved onto the beach as gethin keen to 'surf', wasn't exactly windy enough, but he had a go! Sarah and I and the little ones then headed up into the town for a look around the shops and to pick up some provisions for dinner! Picked up some cool tshirts for the boys and had another encounter with Coles supermarket. Slowly getting used to Aussie food and what is available!! Still struggling to find pitta bread but got an almost alternative! Met the boys in an icecream parlour where the boys indulged in 'bubble gum' icecream, so so sickly, but they loved it! Mega sugar overload today!!
Continued along the coast to Portsea and managed to catch the sunset. Beautiful, got some lovely photos. Scenery looked like something off home and away, feeling very Australian. This place is lush!! Drove back to Dromena and had lovely BBQ for dinner. Hot dogs for the boys and steak and salad for us. Gethin in with us again tonight, cosy cosy!!
