Another sleepless night thanks to the karaoke at the bar. I think they were making up for the night before when the storm stopped people going out. Boy was it loud. We are 4 blocks away and it was like they were in our living room. So much for the 11pm quiet policy the hotel has, 12.15 when the screaming banshees stopped and then our African American Vicky Pollard and partner started shouting. Complained again!!! If it happens again tonight then we're asking for a move.
Up early this morning to try and get to Hollywood Studios for opening time. The lady at the bag check was up her own backside, making everyone empty their entire bags out. One poor guy had to empty his whole life on to the counter.
So, in Hollywood for 9am, straight to Toy Story for a fast pass. 2.35-3.35 return, what!!!!!
Next off to the new Star Tours ride. Result, straight in without a queue. All the props are the same but the 3D simulator was pretty good. Think I broke the seat in front of me. I tried to put my bag under it and pulled a wire out meaning a poor lady couldn't fasten her seatbelt. Sorry ma'am! :(
In to the Star Tours shop, and yes the boys bought new light sabers. I'm surprised their money has lasted so long.
Next stop was Animation to learn how to draw characters from cartoons. Piglet was our subject/victim. The boys seemed to like being taught animation. Jakes piglet did end up looking more like a Gremlin due to the fierce teeth he put on. Off to the back stage tour now, lots of explosions and water as a petrol tanker came sliding towards us. Great stuff!! Time for lunch and then off to the stunt show. Another great show. Plenty of speeding cars doing tricks, jumps, lots of bullets and explosions again. A great insight into how car chases are filmed.
By this time we were all starting to struggle a little. Another 100f + day but this was the worst humidity we'd experienced. So we headed back to the animation complex to cool off in the air con before using our fast passes on Toy Story. Time to leave but we managed to squeeze a visit in to the Walt Disney museum. Interesting stuff and hopefully Jake won't keep asking me the same questions about Walt Disney the man.
Too early to go home so we headed to Downtown Disney for a stroll and another spending spree in the Lego store. A couple of slushes to cool us down and stop Lewis going low helped too. 2.5 hour wait to eat at The Rainforest Cafe. Stuff that so we headed back home and to TGI Fridays. Just what the doctor ordered. We all ate every last morsel. So so nice and it was cheaper than lunch at Hollywood Studios.
Back at the apartment now and the karaoke has started. Hopefully the lightening storm I can see heading our way will keep a few of the bad American Idol hopefuls away.
