I wake up on the bunk bed at the hostel. A hangover helping to break the silence as my best fairy elephant impression unfolds. Hopefully nobody was wanting to sleep in. I find a rather nice pair of chopsticks in my pocket, a souvenir taken from North Korea. Craig heads back to the noodle restaurant with the Caribbean couple whilst I slump down at one of the hostel tables. Strong coffee and chicken baguette help ease the banging in my head. Who would have thought a dish of quail was so potent.
We head to the airport, part wishing I had longer in Cambodia but our time was used well.
We get our 2 hour flight back to Singapore and stay at Lucky 81, a grubbier location but closer to the airport. There is a main road near the digs and there are a huge array of different food types on offer. We settle for the Malaysian Indian style in a small cafe. I get the chicken fried rice which is how i remember it. A chicken leg chopped into bits with more bone than chicken. Both tired we call it a night, as up early for our flight to Philippines tomorrow.
