Great to see the BA lounge at Heathrow using Craig's gold card. After some rather tasty food and several champagnes we boarded and started our flight. Lots of white wine helped pass the time and by the end of the flight we were on first name terms with most of the staff! Arrived at the hotel, dumped our bags and set off to explore the city centre. Mainly round the river side, taking a few photos that both Craig and me were in 17 years ago. Went to Raffles for the obligatory overpriced Singapore sling and monkey nuts, then headed back to the riverside, found a great cafe full of locals and sampled one of the chicken curries for only around £1.50. Headed along the strip by the river to a few of the bars - Prince of Wales, Purple Turtle. Feels more like a transition as opposed to backpacking. Singapore is simply London with humidity.
Catching a flight tomorrow to Cambodia where the adventure I am yearning for will begin.
