Rotorua (23rd Jan 2007)

Today we travelled south from Auckland to a place called Rotorua. When we got here we checked into a backpackers and at 7 pound a night we got what we would expect. Very basic but no so bad for one night. Had a run in with some German plonkers (so arrogant the Germans are, not really suprising) then we spent the day mooching around looking at the place. Again it was roasting! We went to this adventure park thing called Skyline. Done some go-Karting down a mountain track which is called louging. That was loads of fun. Then we went on a sky-swing which was massive! It pulls you back about 100m high, hangs you there for a bit, you then pull a lever and it lets you go. It swings to 70MPH in about two seconds. Its over before you know it but its still great. Got the DVD of us going on that aswel! Also went to visit some thermal spa pools. A bit girlie but Kate wanted to do it...... Honest!

At night we found an Irish pub, all this way and you can still find an Irish bar to have a bevvy! Spent the night there having a few and more drinks!

Tomorrow we are going to travel to another place called Taupo for the day. Thats about an hour away but if the weathers good we might do a sky dive there. If it's a bit cloudy they don't jump. It's been hot every other so hoping its another good one.
